1Bill is a fintech and lifestyle management platform that helps users take control of their personal finances by automatically tracking, organizing, and paying bills from one place. From utilities and subscriptions to credit cards and expenses, 1Bill uses automation and AI to make bill management seamless. Y Interval partnered with 1Bill to design, build, and scale their web and mobile applications, along with developing a powerful AI-driven recommendation engine that helps users forecast, categorize, and optimize their spending.
Managing bills manually is stressful and error-prone — users miss payments, overpay subscriptions, or lose track of recurring expenses. 1Bill wanted to eliminate that friction with a unified platform that could centralize all bills, analyze user data in real time, and automate payment reminders and insights. However, the challenge was twofold: building a secure and compliant financial platform capable of handling sensitive user data and payment integrations, and designing a user experience that made complex financial tracking feel simple and intuitive. The existing tools in the market were clunky, lacked automation, and failed to leverage AI for personalization. 1Bill needed a scalable product that felt effortless for users but smart behind the scenes.
Y Interval collaborated with 1Bill from concept to launch, delivering a cross-platform digital ecosystem that combines design simplicity with deep technical sophistication. We built the web platform using React + Next.js and the mobile app with React Native, ensuring a seamless and consistent experience across devices. On the backend, we developed a Node.js and Python (FastAPI) architecture integrated with secure payment gateways, real-time data sync, and end-to-end encryption. The highlight of the project was the AI-powered Smart Bill Engine, which uses machine learning models to automatically detect billing patterns, flag anomalies, suggest cost-saving opportunities, and predict upcoming expenses. This engine continuously learns from user behavior to provide personalized insights — effectively turning 1Bill into a financial assistant rather than just a tracker. We also designed a clean, minimal interface to help users easily view, manage, and automate bills, while implementing bank-grade security standards to ensure user trust and data protection.
