Full revamp of Owner.com’s UX, added AI, and rebuilt their app for scale.

Owner.com is a fast-growing platform helping restaurant owners manage everything from online ordering to marketing and customer engagement — all in one place. Backed by over $120M in funding and now valued at over $1B, the company turned to Y Interval to elevate its product experience, implement generative AI capabilities, and streamline development across its web and mobile apps.
As Owner.com scaled rapidly, their user experience started showing cracks. Different modules — ordering, marketing, loyalty — had grown independently, leading to an inconsistent and sometimes confusing UX. The design language lacked cohesion, new users struggled with onboarding, and internal teams faced friction when building new features on top of an increasingly complex codebase. Meanwhile, Owner.com’s leadership wanted to integrate AI-powered automation — allowing restaurant owners to auto-generate menus, marketing campaigns, and customer outreach — without adding more complexity to an already busy interface.
Y Interval partnered closely with Owner.com’s product and engineering teams to rebuild the platform for the next phase of growth. We redesigned the entire UX/UI to create a unified experience across web and mobile, ensuring every interaction felt simple, intuitive, and on-brand. Our dev team implemented generative AI tools using OpenAI’s API, enabling restaurant owners to instantly generate menu descriptions, promotional content, and email campaigns within the app. We also rebuilt core app components in React and React Native, introduced design tokens, and streamlined the architecture to support faster feature development and future scalability.
