Ro (ro.co) is one of the leading telehealth platforms in the U.S., connecting millions of patients with licensed clinicians and personalized treatments for everything from primary care to skincare. As Ro scaled rapidly, they needed a technology partner who could help enhance internal systems, improve data intelligence, and support AI-driven decision-making across operations. The Challenge

With its expanding patient base and growing catalog of healthcare products, Ro faced increasing complexity in managing internal workflows, inventory, and patient data analytics. Their existing tools for tracking orders, prescriptions, and provider performance were siloed, limiting visibility across departments. At the same time, Ro wanted to explore how AI could better match patients with personalized treatments and automate parts of the internal review process — all while maintaining HIPAA compliance and strict data security. The challenge was to design systems that could handle sensitive healthcare data, simplify day-to-day operations, and enable intelligent insights — without disrupting the core care experience.

The Solution

Y Interval partnered with Ro’s product and operations teams to design and develop a suite of internal tools that power smarter healthcare operations behind the scenes. We created a centralized dashboard for managing inventory, prescriptions, and patient orders — bringing real-time visibility and control to multiple teams. Our engineering team rebuilt key systems in React, Node.js, and PostgreSQL, deployed securely on AWS, and integrated automated analytics pipelines to monitor stock levels, order fulfillment, and patient demand trends. To unlock deeper insights, we developed an AI-powered analytics layer that uses natural language and predictive models to identify correlations in patient feedback, treatment outcomes, and purchase behaviors — helping clinicians and Ro’s operations team make faster, data-informed decisions. We also designed a clean, intuitive UX for internal teams, making it simple to search, analyze, and act on data — reducing administrative overhead while ensuring full compliance with healthcare data standards.
